1. Who we are
WatchCom Security (“WatchCom”, “we”, “us”) provides cybersecurity services, technology solutions and professional training. We operate in the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom, with roots in Norway. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website, and your rights over that data. We act as the data controller for that personal data.
2. The data we collect
We collect only what we need. Through this website that is: information you give us in a contact, enquiry or training form (such as your name, email address, phone number, organisation and the message you send); and limited technical information collected automatically (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How we use it and our lawful basis
We use your data to respond to your enquiry, provide the services or information you have asked for, and keep records of our dealings with you. Depending on the context our lawful basis is your consent, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, or the steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract. Under Oman law, processing is carried out on the basis of your consent and for the purpose we have told you about.
4. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate (for example email or hosting providers) under appropriate agreements, or where we are required to by law.
5. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or Oman, we ensure an adequate level of protection through an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted.
7. Your rights
You have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access the data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Under Oman law you may withdraw consent, request correction, request a copy of your data, request erasure, and be notified of a breach affecting your data. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.
8. Cookies
This website uses cookies. Please see our Cookies Policy for details and how to manage them.
9. Security
As a cybersecurity company, we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access on a need-to-know basis, and staff trained in data protection.
10. Complaints and regulators
If you have a concern you can contact us first and we will try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the relevant authority: in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); in the Sultanate of Oman, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT).
11. Contact
Questions about this policy or your personal data can be sent to our Data Protection Officer at [privacy@watchcom.example]. [Insert postal address and phone.]
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
